2 Days 1 Night Rinjani Trekking – Senaru Crater Rim

Pre-Trek Day – Arrival in Senaru & Trek Preparation
Your Rinjani adventure begins one day before the trek.
Pick-Up from Lombok
We will pick you up from your accommodation or a convenient meeting point around Lombok and take you to Senaru Village, the main gateway for the Senaru trekking route.
Upon arrival in Senaru, you will stay for one night at our local accommodation near the trekking entrance.
This pre-trek stay gives you enough time to rest, adjust to the area, and prepare for the trek the following morning.
Trekking Equipment Preparation
Before the trek, our team will help you check and prepare the equipment you need.
If necessary, you can rent additional trekking equipment such as:
- Hiking poles
- Gloves
- Hiking jacket
- Headlamp
- Hiking boots
- Other trekking equipment according to your needs
Our team will also explain the trekking plan and make sure everything is ready before departure.
Luggage Storage
You do not need to carry your large suitcase or unnecessary belongings during the trek.
Your large luggage can be safely left at our accommodation or office in Senaru. We recommend bringing only the essential items you will need during the 2-day trek.

Day 1 – Senaru Village to Senaru Crater Rim
06:30 AM – Wake Up
Wake up at around 6:30 AM and get ready for your trekking adventure.
07:00 AM – Breakfast
Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation before starting the trek.
After breakfast, our team will make a final equipment check and prepare for departure.
07:30–08:00 AM – Transfer to the Trekking Entrance
After breakfast, we will take you to the Senaru trekking entrance.
Before starting, your guide will provide a short briefing about the route, safety procedures, and trekking conditions.
You can leave your large suitcase at our accommodation or office and carry only your personal day-to-day trekking essentials.
Morning – Start the Trek
Begin your trek through the lush tropical rainforest of Mount Rinjani National Park.
The Senaru trail is surrounded by dense forest, with towering trees, tropical vegetation, and the sounds of nature accompanying you along the way.
The first part of the trek gradually takes you deeper into the forest. Your local guide will maintain a comfortable pace and assist you throughout the journey.
Afternoon – Continue to Senaru Crater Rim
After several hours of trekking, continue ascending toward the Senaru Crater Rim.
As you gain elevation, the landscape gradually changes from dense tropical forest to more open volcanic terrain.
Once you reach the crater rim, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of:
- Segara Anak Lake
- Mount Rinjani’s volcanic caldera
- Mount Barujari
- The surrounding mountains and valleys
Late Afternoon – Camp at Senaru Crater Rim
Upon arrival at the Senaru Crater Rim, our porter team will prepare the campsite while you rest and enjoy the scenery.
Take some time to relax, take photos, and appreciate the dramatic volcanic landscape.
In the late afternoon, enjoy the beautiful sunset from the crater rim as the sky changes color above the caldera.
Evening – Dinner & Overnight at the Crater Rim
Enjoy dinner prepared by our trekking team.
Spend the night in your tent at Senaru Crater Rim and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

Day 2 – Senaru Crater Rim to Senaru Village
Early Morning – Sunrise at the Crater Rim
Wake up early to experience the sunrise from Senaru Crater Rim.
Weather permitting, you can enjoy panoramic views across the caldera, Segara Anak Lake, Mount Barujari, and the surrounding mountains.
This is also a perfect time to take photos before breakfast and beginning the descent.
Morning – Breakfast & Prepare for Descent
Enjoy breakfast at the campsite and pack your belongings.
Our team will prepare the equipment and make sure nothing is left behind before starting the descent.
Morning to Afternoon – Descend to Senaru Village
Begin your descent through the Senaru trail.
The route takes you back through the beautiful tropical rainforest of Mount Rinjani National Park.
Although the descent is easier in terms of elevation gain, some sections can be steep, so take your time and follow your guide’s instructions.
Enjoy the forest scenery and take breaks whenever necessary.
Afternoon – Arrive at Senaru Village
After several hours of descending, arrive back at the Senaru trekking entrance.
Our team will assist you with your luggage and help arrange your onward transportation.
You can collect your stored suitcase and belongings before continuing to your next destination.
End of Trek
Your 2 Days 1 Night Senaru Crater Rim adventure ends in Senaru Village.
From here, you can continue to your hotel, Senggigi, Mataram, Kuta Lombok, Lombok International Airport, Bangsal Harbour, or another destination according to your travel plans.
